Adding a foreign card to Apple Pay while in Türkiye

Apple Pay can’t be used in Türkiye because of local regulations, and you may get an error when adding a card. However, if you’re travelling abroad and want to use your Wise account or a credit card from another country, you need to set your iPhone’s region settings to the country you’re going to. After this change, you can add a credit card to Apple Pay. If you try to add a credit card from Türkiye, you may run into clear errors along the lines of “not allowed”. On my business trip to London last month, I used Apple Pay with my Wise card and found it really handy. I think that once the technology is available in our country too, using cards will become even easier.
