İlk Kişisel Sergim

Bu yıl, çalıştığım kurumda ilk kişisel sergimi açtım. Bunu yazarken bile içimde bir heyecan kıpırdıyor; çünkü bu, yalnızca bir sanatçının hayaliyle ilgili değil, aynı zamanda bir kurumun bu hayale alan açmasıyla ilgili bir hikâye.

Sanat, benim için hep işten ayrı bir dünya oldu. Gündüzleri teknik problemlerle, sistemlerle, ekiplerle uğraşırken; haftanın bir günü akşam tuvalin karşısına geçmek bambaşka bir nefes almak gibiydi. İki dünyanın bu kadar iç içe geçebileceğini, birinin diğerine bu kadar cömertçe kapı açabileceğini açıkçası hiç düşünmemiştim.

Bir kurumun çalışanına yalnızca yaptığı iş üzerinden değil, ürettiği, hayal ettiği, hissettiği şeyler üzerinden de değer vermesi bence çok kıymetli. Sanata ve sanatçıya gösterilen bu ilgi, sadece duvara asılan işlerle sınırlı kalmıyor; insanı bir bütün olarak gören bir kültürün yansıması oluyor.

Serginin hazırlık sürecinde bana destek olan Füsun Doğan hocama, Genel Müdürümüz ve İK çalışanlarımıza, Yağmur Bey'e, bu alanı açan kuruma ve emeği geçen tüm arkadaşlarıma içtenlikle teşekkür ederim. Bu deneyim, sanatın en beklenmedik yerlerde bile kök salabileceğini bir kez daha hatırlattı bana.

Umarım bu sergi, benzer hayalleri olan başkalarına da küçük bir cesaret verir.

My First Solo Exhibition

This year, I opened my very first solo exhibition at the organisation where I work. Even as I write these words, there's a quiet flutter of excitement in me — because this isn't only a story about an artist's dream, but about a company making room for that dream.

For me, art has always been a world apart from work. Spending my days with technical problems, systems and teams, then sitting down in front of a canvas in the evening felt like breathing an entirely different kind of air. I honestly never imagined the two worlds could sit so closely together, or that one could open its doors so generously to the other.

There's something deeply meaningful about a company valuing its people not just for the work they do, but for the things they create, imagine and feel. This care for art and for the artist doesn't stop at the pieces hanging on the wall — it reflects a culture that sees a person as a whole.

I'm sincerely grateful to everyone who supported me throughout the preparations, to the organisation for opening up this space, and to all my colleagues who put their effort into it. This experience reminded me, once again, that art can take root even in the most unexpected of places.

I hope this exhibition offers a small bit of courage to others carrying dreams of their own.
